Duties and responsibilities

Works on developing new and modifying existing products and processes.

Evaluates raw materials on vendor qualification, product specification and cost.

*

Knowledgeable in reformulating existing products to lower cost, to improve existing products or to fit customer specifications.

*

Conduct product evaluation through test protocols and procedures.

*

Investigating all food safety incidences, food poisoning etc.

*

Research and write technical reports, oversee and document development work.

qualifications

*

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or applied science, and must have 3 (year)s of quality, R&D or manufacturing experience.

*

Basic to moderate knowledge of food regulations with specific emphasis on nutritional labeling, natural food ingredients, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

*

Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.

*

*

Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Moderate to advanced computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and database navigation), knowledge of Sage and R&D Genesis programs are desirable, but not necessary.
